Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on the 10th of March 1949. She is an American investor as well as a speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage she established. NRT purchased it for $66million in 2001. Corcoran eventually left the company. Corcoran is one of ABC’s first Shark Tank investors. Since her inception she has appeared on each season of Shark Tank. Corcoran has signed 53 deals in February of 2020. Her biggest deal was her $350,000 investment in Coverplay with a 40% stake. Corcoran was second in a family of 10 children, and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran's mom, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was a mover from one job to the next throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family often relied on free food delivery from a friendly local supermarket. Corcoran remembers her fatheras who was a drunk at times excessively, and behaved towards her mother disrespectfully and condescendingly, particularly after he'd consumed some drinks. Corcoran struggled throughout her schooling before discovering that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was a student at an area Catholic elementary school and started high school in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran was fluent in several classes during her freshman year. She was transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a grade of D.
